We use lysolecithin in our Fresh Series formulas to create stable, skin-compatible emulsions with a refined feel. This naturally derived phospholipid reflects our precise, functional approach to formulation.

It works as both an emulsifier and a delivery aid. In turn, it helps oil- and water-based ingredients blend more smoothly and supports the skin’s absorption of beneficial actives.

Lysolecithin also helps support the skin barrier because it resembles components found naturally in cell membranes. As a result, it helps reinforce barrier integrity, improve moisture retention, and leave skin feeling supple rather than heavy. It also helps refine skin texture and soothe the look of irritation, which makes it especially well suited to sensitive, dehydrated, or compromised skin.

Characteristics

We use a cruelty-free, non-GMO, preservative-free, vegan hydrolyzed lecithin. In lysolecithin, one fatty acid is replaced by an OH group, which gives it improved emulsifying and dispersing properties in water-based media.

This difference makes it especially effective in formulas built around organic plant waters. In our range, it helps stabilize green tea water in Hana Defies Time Phytotherapy Serum, bitter orange blossom water in Sapphō’s Brightening Serum, lemon balm water in Transcendent The Lotion, and immortelle flower water in Phaedrae Probiotic Renewal Serum.

Our lysolecithin comes from non-GMO soy.
