MALPIGHIA PUNICIFOLIA FRUIT (ACEROLA CHERRY)
Cultivated in Brazil • freeze-dried in the Netherlands • certified organic
We source acerola from organic fruit concentrate and freeze-dry it using vacuum and low heat over 24 hours. This process preserves its high nutritional value. We add acerola to our Phaedrae Fresh Series blends as a vitamin C booster in the third and final phase.
Rich in: vitamin C, niacin (vitamin B3), and complex antioxidant phytonutrients. It acts against skin blemishes and promotes skin elasticity.

SPILANTHES ACMELLA FLOWER EXTRACT (ACMELLA EXTRACT)

Our extensively tested acmella extract is one of our most potent ingredients, known for notable anti-aging properties. Its key component, spilanthol, supports long-lasting hydration, improves skin texture, and helps minimize dryness.
Our French connoisseurs clinically evaluated the extract across multiple facial and body areas. The results showed a rapid reduction in the appearance of crow’s feet and other wrinkles, along with a visible improvement in overall complexion.

AHA FRUIT ACIDS
Cultivated and blended in the USA
Our AHA fruit acid blend uses a standardized extraction of five plant species: bilberry, sugar cane, orange, lemon, and sugar maple. Together, these botanicals provide naturally occurring AHAs, including lactic acid (bilberry), glycolic acid (sugar cane), citric acid (orange and lemon), and malic and tartaric acids (sugar maple).
We pair this AHA blend with soothing ingredients—green tea extract, cucumber, and aloe vera—to keep it gentler on skin and help reduce the risk of irritation.

ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF JUICE (ALOE VERA)

Aloe vera offers soothing, restorative, and moisturizing properties. We source ours from certified organic aloe vera cultivated in France.
Aloe vera leaf gel contains soothing polysaccharides (including acemannan) that support hydration and a calmer skin feel. Peer-reviewed research also highlights antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity, and topical aloe gels have been clinically evaluated for supporting skin recovery.

ARGANIA SPINOSA KERNEL OIL (ARGAN FRUIT)

We cold-press our argan oil from the seeds of organic argan fruits. It helps maintain youthful-looking skin, fights early signs of aging, replenishes and stimulates cells, and fortifies the skin barrier.
Rich in: mono-unsaturated (80%) and saturated (20%) fatty acids. As minor components, it contains polyphenols, tocopherols, sterols, squalene, and triterpene alcohols.

BAKUCHIOL

Bakuchiol has repeatedly demonstrated anti-aging properties. It helps preserve skin collagen without causing irritation, making it a challenger to popular synthetically derived ingredients in skincare, such as retinol.
We extract bakuchiol from the leaves and seeds of the Psoralea corylifolia plant without additives, synthetics, or preservatives.
Rich in: a monoterpenoid phenol called bakuchiol, known for antioxidant, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and anti-aging effects.

ADANSONIA DIGITATA PULP EXTRACT (BAOBAB FRUIT)

Sourced from: Ghana and Tanzania.
Baobab fruit pulp comes from the African savanna and contains exceptionally high vitamin C content. It supports skin with vitamins, trace minerals, and antioxidants, and it also acts as a prebiotic.
We obtain our baobab extract from raw baobab pod and pulp. The fruit undergoes quality control, including seed segregation.
Rich in: vitamins A, B, and C, and omega 3, 6, and 9 fatty acids.

VACCINIUM MYRTILLUS FRUIT EXTRACT (BILBERRY)

Our bilberry extract forms part of our AHA fruit acid blend. It increases collagen production, brightens, and combats fine lines.
In skincare research, AHAs are well known for improving the look of uneven texture and fine lines by supporting surface renewal. In addition, glycolic acid and AHA-based systems have shown, in experimental and clinical settings, support for markers linked to skin rejuvenation, including collagen-related effects and improved wrinkle/texture measurements over time.
Rich in: phenolic compounds, including flavonols (quercetin, catechins), tannins, ellagitannins, phenolic acids, and anthocyanins.

We extract our bisabolol from the bark of Candeia (Vanillosmopsis erythro-pappa) cultivated in Brazil. It supports the penetration of active ingredients and offers soothing and antioxidative properties.

ARTHROSPIRA PLATENSIS EXTRACT (BLUE GREEN ALGAE)

We chose blue-green algae because its characteristics have been extensively studied in vivo and in vitro. This micro-algae offers unique nutrient properties. It has significant antioxidant activity, prevents viruses from entering target cells, and inhibits the colonization of wounds by multi-resistant bacteria. It acts against acne and repairs and protects skin cells.

TANACETUM ANNUUM FLOWER OIL (BLUE TANSY)
Cultivated and harvested in Morocco
Blue tansy, also known as Moroccan chamomile, is one of the few essential oils we use—and only in selected formulas.
In general, Phaedra Botanicals avoids essential oils. Instead, we favor slowly steam-distilled aromatic waters and botanical extracts that typically contain fewer of the volatile fragrance allergens concentrated in essential oils.
