CITRAL
Citral is a naturally occurring aromatic component found in many essential oils, especially citrus oils such as lemon, lime, and orange.
It contributes to the fresh, lemon-like note that’s characteristic of these botanicals.
In laboratory research, citral has demonstrated antioxidant and antimicrobial activity, and it has also been studied for potential anti-inflammatory effects.
Citral may appear only in trace amounts in a small number of our limited edition formulas that include essential oils. It is not present in our stable, core offerings.
As with many fragrance components, citral may not suit all skin types. We recommend a patch test if your skin is reactive.
