BENZYL ALCOHOL

Benzyl alcohol is a naturally occurring compound found in various botanicals, including certain fruits. In our skincare, it may be present in trace amounts as a natural constituent of plant materials or as a residue from extraction.

Benzyl alcohol also offers antimicrobial properties, which is why it is widely used in cosmetics to support product stability.

In select water-based formulas that contain aromatic waters or residual water from prolonged maceration of our botanicals, we use benzyl alcohol as part of our preservative system to help maintain product integrity.
